The arctic is a remote location. It is known for extreme weather conditions. The ability to respond to emergencies and oil spills is severely limited. Combined with the icy waters any oil spill would be impossible to clean. The impact would be devastating to local livelihoods and wildlife. Arctic drilling will needlessly placing this beautiful unique part of the planet at risk.
