This work explores impermanence. As the interior deteriorates, nature continues its cycles in quiet persistence and beauty.
Leon Keer together with Maria Norén @kulturkossan built a domestic interior in the middle of a forest — a floor, walls, window, furniture, and everyday objects — but without a roof. By removing this protective layer, we allowed the weather and the changing seasons to freely enter the space.
Over time (one year), we documented the transformation through a photographic compilation capturing spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Rain, sunlight, falling leaves, and frost gradually altered the interior. Materials warped, colors faded, and the space slowly decayed.
The project reflects on transience, how human creations inevitably fade, while nature moves forward, reclaiming space in its own time.
